AIM – THE POPULATION CENSUS FOR CURRENT YEAR (2019) AND THE GROWTH RATE CONSIDERING THE PREVIOUS YEARS, WAS CALCULATED BY THE INDIAN GOVERNMENT AND STATED THAT BY 2050 THE POPULATION BAR WILL ESCALATE UPTO 170 BILLION FROM 130 BILLION. KEEPING IN CONSIDERATION AS THE HIGHEST NEED TO ACCOMMODATE LARGE INDIAN POPULATION WITH GROWING ECONOMY AND REDUCING LAND/ HORIZONTAL SPACE. INDIAN ARCHITECTS AND URBAN PLANNER WILL MOVE AHEAD WITH VERTICAL DESIGN STRATEGIES AND TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENT TO CATER THE BETTER LIVING STANDARDS AND HYGIENE VALUES FOR THE COMING GENERATION. WITH THIS REQUIREMENT, SKY CITY SCRAPER IS DESIGNED TO ACCOMMODATE. PEOPLE WITH 1500 M HEIGHT. THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT KEPT IN CONSIDERATION WHILE DESIGNING WAS BALANCING ZERO CARBON FOOTPRINT TO NOT JUST FACILITATE PEOPLE BUT BECOME THE TALLEST GREEN BUILDING AS A GIFT TO INDIAN CITIZENS AS A PROUD MONUMENT ON 100 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE.

OBJECTIVE –
PLANNING A SKYSCRAPER WITH HUGE HEIGHT IN THE HISTORY OF INDIAN BUILDINGS IS MAJORLY AIMED TO REDUCE HORIZONTAL LAND USE AND INCORPORATE GREEN COVER IN THE SITE AREA. THEREFORE THE BUILDING IS DESIGNED TO OCCUPY 4 ACRES OF PROPOSED LAND OUT 24 ACRES. MEANING, 20 ACRES OF LAND FOR BIODIVERSITY REJUVENATION AND OTHER RESOURCEFUL USES.
AS INDIA’S URBAN GDP IS EXPECTED TO REACH USD 7.5 TRILLION BY 2030, ACCRUING 75% OF INDIA’S TOTAL GDP. , THE COUNTRY NEEDS TO DEVELOP OVER 170 MILLION HOUSES UNTIL 2030.PRESENT LEVELS OF URBAN INFRASTRUCTURE ARE INADEQUATE TO MEET THE DEMANDS OF THE EXISTING URBAN POPULATION. THERE IS NEED FOR RE-GENERATION OF URBAN AREAS IN EXISTING CITIES AND THE CREATION OF NEW, INCLUSIVE SMART CITIES TO MEET THE DEMANDS OF INCREASING POPULATION AND MIGRATION FROM RURAL TO URBAN AREAS.

SCOPE – VIZAG IS THE ONLY CITY TO BE DEVELOPED UNDER SMART CITY MISSION WHICH HAS ITS OWN COASTAL LINE. AS VIZAG HAS ITS PORTS ON THE EASTERN COAST , IT MAKES IT IMPORTANT AS ITS CONNECTED VIA ALL THE TRANSPORT MEDIUM. THE CITY TO BE DEVELOPED AS FUTURE IT HUB AND ALL OTHER KNOWLEDGE BASED BUSINESSES. THE CENTRAL CITY IS NOW NEEDING TO BE EXPANDED, IN ORDER TO THAT THERE IS A NEW INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT HAS ALREADY BEEN PROPOSED IN THE KNOWLEDGE HUB ON THE NORTHERN SIDE OF THE CENTRAL VIZAG. THE WHOLE NEW HABITATION, BUSINESSES ETC. TO BE SHIFTED TOWARDS THE NORTHERN SIDE, BECAUSE DENSITY OF CENTRAL AREA IS NOW INCREASING AS THE DEMANDS ARE INCREASING. THE SOUTHERN SIDE OF THE CENTRAL VIZAG IS DEDICATED FOR HEAVY INDUSTRIES WHICH IS SUPPORTED BY THE EXISTING PORT AND EXISTING INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. PHARMACEUTICALS INDUSTRIES ARE THE MAJOR INDUSTRIES IN VIZAG, A LARGER SECTION OF EMPLOYMENT IS GENERATED THROUGH THESE INDUSTRIES. SO AS VIZAG CITY IS GROWING ON THE INTERNATIONAL PLATFORM , THE CITY WOULD BE NEEDING MORE DWELLING AND OTHER EMPLOYERS LIKE IT INDUSTRIES. THE CITY IS ALREADY IN MAJOR DEFICIENCY OF HOUSING. BY 2030, VIZAG WOULD NEED AROUND 5 LAC HOUSINGS TO FULFILL THE FUTURE REQUIREMENT. BY THE TIME VIZAG WOULD BE CREATING 12 LAC EMPLOYMENTS TOO. VIZAG IS ALSO KNOWN FOR ITS NATURE AND LUSH GREEN ENVIRONMENT. IN ORDER TO RETAIN THAT AND TO NOT TO HARM THE NATURE, INSTEAD OF ERECTING ON GROUND WE CAN GO MULTIPLE FLOORS AS IT WOULD ACCOMMODATE MORE PEOPLE ON SMALLER LANDS.

AFTER 100 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE, INDIA SHOULD AN ARCHITECTURAL MASTERPIECE TO SHOWCASE ON THE INTERNATIONAL PLATFORM, WHICH WOULD SHOW THE POWER, ABILITY AND POTENTIAL OF THE NATION. IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE THAT, A VERTICAL SKYSCRAPER IS PROPOSED IN VIZAG, WHICH WOULD BE OF 1.5 KM, STANDING TALL ON LUSH GREEN LANDS OF VIZAG. THIS MASTERPIECE WOULD BE HAVING COMMERCIAL, RESIDENTIAL AND RECREATIONAL SPACES ACCOMMODATING ON TOTAL 240 FLOORS.
