-Community Market Responsive To the Pandemic
This world is facing the outbreak of COVID-19 virus which has affected the lifestyle of people as well as their economic conditions. This unique crisis calls for a need of various measures to help improve the situation on an individual and community level. One of the major markets that have become an active hotspot for COVID- 19 virus is vegetable markets. The concept is based on breaking a relatively large space into smaller units, hence forming micro markets instead of a large market. Each of these markets is designed according to the safety criteria of COVID- 19 virus. The design is modular and innovative which can be easily assembled on the site. As the materials used for the structure are cost effective and light, the modules can be easily multiplied as per the requirement. The bamboo structure inside the sheds also responds to the traditional values associated with vegetable markets. The structure ensures social distance while offering visual contact. The design aims to help people continue their daily lives even in this unique situation of pandemic with minimum and effective measures.
