The proposed project a Museum about Bengaluru is set in the urban context of J.P Nagar in Bengaluru to cater to the collective identity of Bengaluru while addressing the neighbourhood’s needs and aspirations, there by creating a place relevant to all age groups in the urban context of this Indian City. The museum while catering to the identity and aspirations of the city of Bengaluru, will also accommodate the need of the neighborhood. The proposed design will explore the design possibilities of place making as an architectural goal within a space.
The expression of the link between built and unbuilt spaces in a given context and the use of the unbuilt spaces within the neighborhood context in response to the climate, local culture and pattern. The museum is also inclusive and user friendly for the elderly and physically handicapped.
