Due to the climatic conditions of Concepcion, a roof is proposed on an urban scale, providing shade and protection from the rain; This quality is key in the functioning of the urban space of the city. In turn, this roof configures a public space which does not have a specific use, but rather is a support for different activities. Five â € œcolumns of lightâ € are proposed that extend from the subsoil (level -2) to the public space (level 0), in order to extend the subsoil relating it to the urban surface. These â € œcolumnsâ € function as shafts of light, providing a new experience in the underground journey and thus also as containers for vertical circulation (escalators, elevators, ramps and fixed stairs).
