With the increasing rate of juvenile crimes in India and the lack of proper rehabilitation facilities, it is necessary to have an institution that is rehabilitative in nature rather than punitive.
This project explores the relation between child psychology and architecture and the use of architectural design to normalize the institutional setting. Using colour, light, form, density of space and temperature as the architectural means of creating a transitional environment that aids in the treatment of juvenile aggression.
