HAMPI: PLACE, PEOPLE & PAST. (INTERPRETATION CENTRE).
My main aim behind this project was to build essence of the old hampi (past) and today’s hampi (place) to the peoples of today.
So, I took reference of the ruins and make galleries, which follows the actual hampi’s temple planning. So, the journey is start from kishikinda (first gallery) and ends with the modern day hampi (last gallery), with this I have also kept the landscape accordingly as the individual era has its own. And, this will make visitors to experience and to feel the actual time then. Therefore, this gallery could be the bridge, which connects the past and the present, and for planning I have taken reference from Tungabhadra River which was the major important at that point of time, and I have kept the water channel throughout. And through our the journey of the hampi itself, the only constant thing is Tungabhadra!
So, in my each galleries, the planning, the landscape and the scale are changing but the water channel is constant!
