30 Sq. m PROJECT:
Cottage Design SEMESTER: IInd (January, 2017)
LOCATION: Pushkar, Rajasthan.
The main purpose of design studio was to create a tiny house in 30 sq.m land for a couple with all luxury, by the form evolution of a cuboid. The building site, which is on the top of mountain in Pushkar, features large slope, while having panoramic view over the ghats and the temple of the city. The overhanging form highlighted the building but the stone used also created uniformity with the surrounding. Locally available stone used as a design element. Due to use of exposed stone it create uniformity with natural surrounding and local architecture. It is the most durable, strong and weather resistant masonry material out there. Stone does not warp, swell, bend, splinter, or dent making it a great choice for building.
