Our urban capital New Delhi has the world’s 8th busiest rapid transit system DELHI METRO serving Delhi’s 20 million people. Connecting more and more areas of national capital by metro poses a threat to survival of local people. This web of metro bridges is making city’s urban setting too congested.
Colonies are trapped among these metro bridges. The people who are living in these houses started getting suffocated. There is no sufficient natural light, no fresh air and a lot of traffic noise in these congested areas.
Just solving problems on the surace can’t be completely cured. We still need to think about the ways to solve problems from the root. The future of humanity on this planet relies on the collective benefits of urban density; reducing both land consumption and the energy needed to construct and operate the horizontally dispersed city.
