The proposal attempts to tranform the port to an attraction throughout the year by integrating basic urban functions, while reclaiming the existing refrigerator building and ‘regenerating’ the lost part of the enetian wall through a modern building. The last one relates with a ‘twin building’ creating a long path towards the sea, which allows the connection as well as the differentiation between the city and the port. The ‘twin buildings’ repeat, but in different scale due to reasons of both functionality and relation to the surroundings, at the other end of the area. The building complex between these two attempts to connect them with each other and with the city. Light stuctures resembling the old shipyards create the urban equipment and restore the human scale, while creating a connection with the history of the place, in the many and different-level urban spaces.
